We believe Sunday morning should be the most exciting time of your week. At Steamtown you can expect the unexpected. We’re not afraid of upbeat contemporary music yet not above more traditional contemplative styles. We use video, multimedia and applaud the use of the arts. Come and experience God’s love in a comfortable, informal, non-threatening atmosphere.
3. Relevant Teaching
We believe the Bible has answers for people in today’s troubled world. If the Bible seems boring and irrelevant to you, we’re out to prove you wrong. At Steamtown, you’ll hear “down to earth” and understandable Sunday messages. You’ll discover the Bible is exciting, at times challenging, yet always applicable to your daily life.
4. Dynamic Teen Ministry
The Coal Mine Youth Center on Lafayette Street (the former Westside Boys and Girls Club) is a weekday ministry of Steamtown. It’s a place where teens have fun while learning values, usefulness and responsibility. Experienced youth leaders have a creative, energetic program designed to challenge, excite and give direction. Our youth take part in social and recreational activities, community service, and Bible studies focusing on current teen issues.
5. Fun Children’s Program
Do you want your children to get a spiritual foundation, but aren’t sure where to start? KidZone is for them! It’s our fun-packed Sunday morning children’s church that communicates God’s love through age-appropriate Bible lessons, children’s music, and handicrafts – making church attendance an enjoyable experience for the whole family.
6. Safe, Secure Nursery
Placing your child in the care of others is a major concern for parents. Our clean, well-staffed nursery will provide tender loving care for babies and toddlers so parents can attend Sunday services without distraction. All nursery workers are screened and trained for the safety of your child.

We value investing in our City by serving its leaders, supporting family values, and sponsoring community-wide functions which show God’s love in practical ways.
